Exploratory data analysis (EDA) is that part of statistical practice concerned with reviewing, communicating and using data where there is a low level of knowledge about its cause system. It was so named by John Tukey. Many EDA techniques have been adopted into data mining and are being taught to young students as a way to introduce them to statistical thinking.
This document has been created to show the advantages of using statistics to improve the way of controlling the company's resources and improve the way to know the customers. What is the advantages of using EDA in Marketing Department?The answer is very easy. Although you travel every week around the world and your offices are located in 4 continents, with a good set of Reports and good sales and profits's stimators and some Predictors, you can control any Business. Each business is diferent and you have to know the right stimator to take decissions. Often I use median as Measure of Central Tendency, because Mean has a weakness with the variability.
